PROGRAM INFORMATION

Cedar Smoke & Stickman is a program designed around traditional ways of healing in which women gather to process, share, and ultimately heal. Through the power of writing, participants will be encouraged to examine what is in their hearts and to share in laughter, wisdom, and challenges with fellow women. No prior writing experience is necessary, women from all walks of life are welcomed! Participants will spend time on the land, observing wildlife, and writing about what they see in their lives and in the natural world. Through these practices, change can occur that brings about growth.

DAY 1

WELCOME & ORIENTATION

The program starts with an evening orientation. Participants will get to know one another and be introduced to the program. Throughout the evening, the itinerary and seminar key concepts will be discussed, as well as what to expect to pack for the field each day.

DAY 2

Introduction to the Land

Participants will introduce themselves to the land. Breakfast will be at the ranch, after which the class will travel to Mammoth Hot Springs to engage with the thermal features. The afternoon will be spent on campus reading, writing, and sharing. The introduction to Stickman is today!

DAY 3

Continued Work

The day will be spent around the campus continuing to work on what started yesterday. Time will be reserved for writing, discussion, and just being. Wildlife observations will be taken advantage of with a possible foray into the park.
