Trails & Backcountry Resources

Yellowstone National Park has more than 1,100 miles of trails and boardwalks visited by approximately 4 million visitors each year. There is a constant need for rehabilitation and restoration, efforts to conserve resources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect Yellowstone’s wildlife for the benefit of this and future generations.

Yellowstone Forever funds projects that preserve, rehabilitate, and restore Yellowstone’s resources and recreational amenities. Our support helps safeguard opportunities to enjoy the park’s great treasures while minimizing human impacts on the environment.

“Parks are not funded like they need to be. If we want to preserve them it’s important to step up financially and to encourage our government officials to do their part as well… We’re excited to be a part of it.” – Sally M., Montana
